Before, drawer railings were located on the sides for functionality. Now, using the new DesignSide, railings on the side are no longer necessary. This change enables Hettich to use glass, stone, or other trendsetting materials on the sides of drawers. Thus, the new system changes the focus of the drawer from functionality to design quality.

The new DesignSide can be used for integrating trendy materials in order to give the drawers a contemporary design and seamless look. Hettich has created chrome and stainless steel décor profiles which appeal to the high end buyer. To match drawer designs, drawer adapters of the new DesignSide are available in grey, charcoal and white.
