The latest bows for target shooting and
bow hunting are displayed more effectively in a redesigned
bow hook display from Northern
Wire Products.
Seeking a more cost-effective, simpler
bow hook display, this sporting goods retailer partnered
with Northern Wire Products in a redesign effort. The
design team used design software to produce prototype
renderings that gave the retailer real-life-appearing
options to evaluate and modify. Prior to manufacturing,
changes were made quickly and inexpensively to achieve
the desired look.
Designed with permanent fixed position
hooks, the new display is constructed with high-quality
tube, sheet metal brackets, wire-formed hook, and slip-on
protective hook covers. It is clear powdercoat painted
to match the design scheme of other fixtures in the
archery product line.
The redesign of the bow hook displays
eliminated the product positioning problems of previous
display designs, allowing for greatly improved showcasing
of the new bows while engaging prospect attention. The
new display design requires no complicated, time-consuming
assembly, so in-store setup is fast and trouble-free.
Total per unit cost of the new bow hook
display is 51% less than previous bow hook display designs,
according to Northern Wire Products. It meets the major
sporting goods retailer’s criteria for raising
sales velocity and turn rates while reducing display
costs.
