At GlobalShop, March 18-20 in Chicago, DVUV LLC will reveal unique new design possibilities in its UVMax® line of UV-cured powdercoated MDF. The company's Eye Candy Gallery will showcase a collection of innovative new finishes with a series of artworks.

The company is not disclosing details at this point, but according to DVUV President Michael Knoblauch, the new finishes will offer designers creative new ways to transform inexpensive MDF into materials that look much richer and have unique visual appeal.

Knoblauch believes the material’s affordability and ease of production will be a welcome surprise to designers accustomed to having to compromise creative vision because of high costs and thorny manufacturing challenges.

As with all of the existing UVMax® finishes, the new formulations will be environmentally friendly. They use no VOCs or PVC and are manufactured using either a standard 100% recycled-content MDF or an ultra-green no-added-urea-formaldehyde MDF for maximum LEED eligibility.
