Aluminum Composite Adds Design Highlights

Alpolic framed displaysThe Payless ShoeSource Fashion Lab’s white fixtures are accented by display points framed by curved panels and columns in Payless' signature orange along the perimeter. ALPOLIC® aluminum composite material gives the areas their iridescence.

Often used in exterior signage, the material is heavy and less flexible than typical face panels, according to Cindy Timbes, senior project manager for Design Fabricators. To adapt it for an interior structural application, the team attached the ALPOLIC® panels to MDF.
