When
partnered well with fixture firms, component fabricators
can make valuable behind-the-scenes contributions to
the look of a store. In the successful
pairing shown here, B&N
Industries and Bierson
Corp. teamed up to create the floor fixtures at M&M
World in Orlando, Fla.
With a design vision that epitomizes the brand's emphasis
on fun while reinforcing the well-recognized M&M
icons, design firm Chute Gerdeman injected
oversized candy representations throughout the store.
On the
cashwrap, the transaction equipment is hidden behind
lentil-shaped shields emblazoned with the M&M logo.
The shields, created by B&N, fit snugly into half-moon
shapes in a countertop constructed by Bierson of molded
vinyl over MDF core through a process that enables
the vinyl to curve around the MDF profile.
The same process was used for the base of the freestanding
floor fixtures, allowing for a seamless appearance
on the unusually shaped bases. |
