Kiosks designed and built by Storeimage are helping the Kidney Foundation of Canada raise public awareness of the leading causes of kidney disease. The foundation's Kidney Health Centre is a pilot program reaching people where they shop.
“The kiosk is both our flagship and the platform for our program,” says Elizabeth Bowman, RN, program manager. "The kiosk identifies us and offers a distinctive, accessible and highly professional vehicle to reach people."
The custom kiosks provide a venue for program nurses and trained staff and volunteers to provide information about cardiovascular and diabetic risks for kidney disease, blood pressure and blood sugar screening, a personal health profile, on-site consultation, and physician notification of screening results with participants' consent.
"We were pleased to support the Kidney Health Centre program because we believed its objectives of health education and disease prevention were important and relevant to our management, our employees, our customers, and the community at large," says Janice Locke, CEO of Storeimage. "We were also pleased to be associated with an initiative that used innovation and exciting design to create a truly interactive experience and unique learning environment."
