Eight judges met in New Orleans Jan. 26-27, and awarded 15 grand prizes, 16 outstanding merits, and 18 special element awards in 23 categories. In addition, one of the Store Fixture Award recipients will receive A.R.E.'s Fixture of the Year, one of the Visual Presentation Award recipients will receive A.R.E.'s Visual Presentation of the Year, and one of the Grand Prize recipients will receive A.R.E.'s Store of the Year.
Judges of our sister awards, the Sustainability Awards, gave out 8 awards on Jan. 29, including 2 grand prizes, 2 outstanding merits, 3 special awards, and a project of the year. This is the second year of A.R.E.'s Sustainability Awards, and the first year that it has been integrated into the overall A.R.E. Design Awards program.

While all of the companies and projects listed have received at least one or more awards, exactly what each has won won't be announced until our awards presentation during GlobalShop on Wednesday, March 10 from 5:00 - 7:00 pm in the Venetian Hotel. We'll begin the evening with an open bar reception, including hors d'oeuvres and networking with over 500 serious retailers, designers and industry suppliers. Together we'll see great design in action and get inspired to push our limits.
