2010 Design Awards The Association for Retail Environments (A.R.E.) celebrated the 39th anniversary of its awards presentation on Wednesday, March 10, during an awards ceremony in the Venetian Hotel. The presentation, held the end of the first day of GlobalShop, presented 60 awards to 47 projects for the innovation and quality of their retail environment designs, including best individual elements and sustainable environments. Jennifer Beesley, Vice President-Director of Visual Merchandising for Cost Plus World Market Inc. served as master of ceremonies.

Sustainability Awards
2010 Sustainability Awards This awards program recognizes excellence in sustainable retail design. The program's second year builds on the inaugural year with defined criteria and greater recognition. While the highest honors go to projects with comprehensive sustainability programs that exhibit good design, don't be shy about entering projects that may not achieve high overall scores but incorporate a unique attribute. An extremely innovative element of your project might compel the judges to award a special commendation.
2009 Sustainability Award Winners Twelve awards were presented, including Project of the Year, two Second Place awards, three Outstanding Merits, and six special commendations for specific sustainable elements. Judges awarded the highest honors to projects that balance comprehensive sustainability programs with good design.
Above & Beyond Awards This awards program acknowledges the outstanding levels of performance that A.R.E. members provide to their customers each year by recognizing members that have exceeded their customers’ expectations, and in some cases, made the impossible possible.
Nominate a Vendor for 2010 Retail companies, nominate A.R.E. member store fixture suppliers by completing a nomination form and submitting it to A.R.E.
2008 Above & Beyond Award Winner: Boden Alexander Group The third annual award was presented during A.R.E.’s Design Awards presentation in Chicago, March 18, 2008, for the fixture company’s long–term partnership with Bank of America.
2007 Above & Beyond Award Winner: Custom Surroundings The second annual award was presented during A.R.E.'s Retail Design Awards presentation in Las Vegas, March 7, 2007, for the fixture company's ongoing partnership with Stride Rite and commitment during the rapid rollout of a new concept.
2006 Above & Beyond Award Winner: PIN The inaugural award was presented during A.R.E.’s 50th Anniversary Celebration and Retail Design Awards Presentation in Orlando March 26, 2006.
