| Vegas glamour and rustic splendor merge in this 165,000-sq.-ft. store whose features range from a 20-ft. canyon and native-stone floors to decidedly undesert-like saltwater fish mounted in action poses from a sea-blue ceiling. Curvilinear reel displays and fishing images on a large flat screen lure anglers, while a climbing wall mirroring local terrain challenges thrill seekers. The space also houses regional artifacts, murals by local artists, cedar animal sculptures, a handcrafted fireplace screen, and animal dioramas. |

| This hip young women’s “cheap chic” brand sashays into the 30,000-sq.-ft. beaux arts building, using simple, modern fixtures in contrast to historic plaster walls and intricate ceiling details. Mirrored display cabinets reflect the grand interior. Freestanding walls hold displays at the perimeter, and contemporary ceiling planes and runway merchandisers lead shoppers through the store. Giant freestanding “table lamps” convey humor, while classic elegance is reiterated in stenciled patterns imitating the ceiling on the escalator walls. |
