| The crisp, clean organization and bold color scheme of this 1,314-sq.-ft. prototype digital wireless services and accessories store show refined restraint, yet manage to evolve the brand by presenting high-tech products and customer service in an appealing natural setting. All parts of the store are visible from the lease line and create a fishbowl effect that draws the customer in. Phone pods around the store s perimeter offer streamlined technical information to facilitate decision-making. Customers can activate new features such as ring tones and sports scores via the Internet at online stations by the "web tree." Exotic and electric materials infuse the space with interest. GP acrylic in Telus signature green and purple create numerous points of memory for customers navigating the store. In a nod to the fashion demand of today s wireless consumers, an illuminated green platform encased in glass showcases the latest digital wireless phones and accessories in a "handset runway." The judges awarded Telus the Store of the Year not just because it was a well-designed store, but also because they felt the design evolved the classification of mobile technology to the next level. |

| With a budget of $50 or less per square foot, this prototype design for an online auction management store delivers a clear brand message. The illuminated orange box beckons to passersby. Architectural elements and color treatments identify areas for research, selling, and auction processing, while modular signage and LCD technology inform customers of services, promotions, and best-selling items. A custom low-wall counter and cashwrap facilitate close collaboration between customer and auction manager. |
