| Applying Japanese aesthetic to a Victorian warehouse for fast food amidst serenity, this isakaya (“nice place”) lives up to its name. Tree branches spray out beyond pixilated images of cherry blossoms. Asian scenes glow in “bird’s nest” pendants above communal dining space. Layered translucent panels bearing graphics and brand messages such as “tasty” and “fast” stand out against natural materials—vintage floor planks, brick walls, reclaimed black ash lumber, Macassar ebony veneer, and honed black slate. |
