This 9,500-sq.-ft. space executes the brand’s mantra of endless carefree indulgence with open sightlines and sparse white fixtures, whose simple rectilinear lines complement the curves and bold colors of the themed LCD televisions. Fixturing and wall treatments delineate the product lines: Disney and Warner Brothers characters overlook whimsical children’s products, while the sports line is shown amidst NBA, NFL, soccer, and sailing images and props. Each fixture incorporates internal lighting, a power source, and technology wiring.

Executed in five months, this flagship prototype raises the brand’s sophistication from existing Pokemon stores. Ten interactive gaming areas target specific shoppers. Older customers are served at the Gameboy advance bar, while younger users sit on low touch-responsive stools. Community gaming areas encourage individual and competitive play. Each fixture accommodates proprietary hardware and software, extensive AV, and LED lighting. Modular fixtures comprising a wide range of rugged, yet approachable materials allow for hanging, shelving, and signage.

The design of this new 17,000-sq.-ft. store catering to young adults is fluid enough to be adapted to freestanding, mall, and lifestyle venues. The free-form layout lets first-time homeowners explore and discover the hip furniture and housewares. Raw finishes create a blank canvas for catering to area demographic lifestyles. Open floor plans showcase furniture with raised display areas for merchandise groupings. The cost-effective design will be implemented in 32 stores by the end of 2006.
