Stephen Hart founded DedON Layouts, an architectural support services company based in Toronto, in 1998. In this new venture, he applied expertise he had developed during his career in store fixturing. Having worked with designers and installers to ensure project success through on-site architectural documentation, Hart further developed the use of technology in the field to paint a clear picture of potential obstacles and challenges faced by designers involved in retail renovation projects.

Thanks to this innovation, many large retailers as well as architecture and interior design firms today use DedON expertise as an extension of their own capabilities. DedON offers background architectural support focused on helping retailers, architects, and interior designers succeed. DedON is not an architecture or interior design firm, but is a source of specialty services required to execute a retail rollout, renovation, or new building launch.

For the past nine years, DedON has developed services to match the increasingly demanding schedule and technology requirements of fast-paced customers. DedON offers services such as as-built surveys, 3D visualizations, animation walkthroughs, and a CAD support department to handle customers' overflow of drafting work during peak periods. These services are designed to enhance customers' capabilities, relieve their stretched resources, or offer expertise on renovation preparation.
