Concept Design Manager, Global Design and Architecture

Russell Nishimoto is a concept design manager for Starbucks Coffee Co.’s Global Design and Architecture group. This dynamic group of designers is responsible for leading the design and development of the brand's physical environment.
Prior to the 2003 acquisition of Seattle Coffee Co. by Starbucks, Nishimoto was for three years the lead architectural designer for both company brands, Torrefazione Italia and Seattle’s Best Coffee. He currently retains the lead designer role for the SBC brand and is responsible for new store concepts within Starbucks.
He is a graduate of California Polytechnic University in San Luis Obispo and a member of the American Institute of Architects. His background includes more than 14 years of architecture, graphics, and industrial design.
