Mitch Abbott Global Retail Development Manager, Rockport
adidas-group

As global retail development manager for adidas-group’s Rockport brand, Mitch Abbott is responsible for ensuring the consistent execution and integrity of Rockport’s global retail portfolio.

Abbott joined Rockport in the summer of 2005. He has held various positions across the retail design group, including leading the brand’s most recent efforts in retail repositioning globally.

With nearly 20 years of retail experience in capacities ranging from store operations to visual merchandising, Abbott has a holistic approach to creating environments that results in harmonious well- balanced stores. He takes an active role in defining all specifications for lighting, flooring, and store fixtures and seeks an active role in Rockport’s brand marketing to ensure delivery of a cohesive on-brand environment.

Drawing his inspiration from hospitality, contract, and restaurant design, Abbott ensures that every Rockport environment reflects the brand’s comfort positioning through the selection of fine materials and furniture. In addition to Rockport’s retail efforts, Abbott oversees the development of Rockport’s showrooms and trade-show exhibits across the globe.

Prior to joining Rockport, Abbott most recently held store planning and visual merchandising positions with Eastern Mountain Sports.
