Mark Johnson currently serves as president of Johnson Design Group, a firm he founded in 1995. The firm's portfolio includes a number of nationally known clients offering complete services from concept to completion.

During his three decades in retail planning and design, Mark Johnson has managed an impressive array of retail projects ranging from unique specialty stores to large department stores and regional malls. Throughout his career, Mark has applied his talents to positions from project manager to client executive and has worked with specialty retailers as well as national retail organizations. Clients have praised his hands-on approach in store planning, merchandising, interior design, and managing the process from concept to construction.

Mark received his bachelor's degree in interior design from Northern Illinois University. He is involved with numerous retail organizations and currently serves as vice president of the Retail Design Institute's Chicago chapter. In addition to A.R.E.'s DREAM Team, he serves on the association's Sustainability Forum.
