Ken Nisch became JGA president in 1987 and chairman in 1995. He works on an international scope with responsibilities that include client liaison and total project design. His knowledge and entrepreneurial insight into consumer markets are integrated into prototype development, conceptual development, architectural direction, and strategic image positioning for retail operators, manufacturers, and brand marketers.
Since 1971, JGA has evolved into one of the industry’s top-grossing retail design and architectural firms, working with clients such as Borders, Brookstone, Godiva Chocolatier, Hershey’s, Hickey Freeman, Hot Topic/Torrid, Jaguar, Metropark, The North Face, Things Remembered, Timberland and Verizon Wireless, among others. The firm's impressive list of industry accolades includes numerous NASFM Retail Design, Chain Store Age, and Institute of Store Planners/VM+SD awards.
A registered architect, Nisch has been a featured speaker at numerous association symposiums, including GlobalShop, SPECS, ShopEast, and the National Retail Federation Convention and Expo as well as at a multitude of lifestyle conferences. He serves on the DDI Magazine Editorial Advisory Board. A former international vice president of the Institute of Store Planners, Nisch repeatedly has been named one of the industry’s “Most Influential” by DDI. |
