Joe Flaherty has more than 30 years of experience in retail planning and construction with Macy's (Federated Department Stores). He oversees the construction of Macy’s East and assists in construction issues with the Macy's Home Division. He also has been responsible for all construction activities for Bloomingdale’s, Bon Marche, Stern’s, and Burdines.

Prior to joining Macy's (Federated) in 1988, he was responsible for planning and construction at Lord & Taylor in New York.
