In his current role, David Hicks is responsible for planning and merchandising Canadian Tire’s new Concept 20/20 Stores—the company's cornerstone retail growth strategy and one of the most ambitious expansion programs underway in Canada. He also operates the innovative Retail City testing concept, a virtual store where marketing, merchandising, and product strategies are tested in a simulated environment before going to market.
Hicks has held a number of positions of increasing responsibility within Canadian Tire Corp. over the past 15 years, having worked in the company's associate stores and operations department within home office. He also created a new Store Communications Portal for communications to and from the more than 460 locations across the country. His continued focus is on improving the quality and profitability of retail programs through impactful merchandising and consistent communication and execution.
