Senior Creative Director, Environmental Design
Design Forum LLC
The design field seemed a natural fit for Brandon Avery. "As a kid, I was always designing or building something," he explains. "When it came time to pick a career, I couldn't think of a better way to spending my time than by doing what I have always loved."
As senior creative director of Design Forum's award-winning environmental design department, Brandon works closely with a team of designers to create unique solutions setting clients' strategic vision in motion. He uses his sense of form and function to develop concepts that communicate the brand and the experience. His knowledge of materials and processes have helped him develop solutions that are both practical to the client and exciting to the customer.
"Retail work is interesting because of the broader influence our work has over the brand as a whole," he says. "We design environments that affect the consumer's purchasing decisions and, in turn, their lifestyle decisions. That's a lot of responsibility."
Prior to joining Design Forum, Brandon was a park designer for the Aquatic Development Group in Cohoes, N.Y., where he developed cutting-edge water parks and attractions all over the world.
Today he works with clients such as AT&T, Coast Capital Savings, Courtyard Cafe, Covergirl, Direct Buy, Do It Best, Dunkin' Donuts, Folgers, Golfsmith, Harrah's, Hibernia Bank, Home Depot, Honda Europe, Jacuzzi, Jo-Ann Stores, Land Rover, Microsoft, Pollo Campero, Procter & Gamble, Scotts Co., Sports Authority, and Staples.
