Senior Vice President, Capital Improvements
MGM MIRAGE Design Group
Tony Mancini joined the MGM MIRAGE Design Group
in October 2005 as senior vice president of capital
improvements. He is responsible for capital improvement
programs for 10 of the MGM MIRAGE Resorts properties
in their entirety and provides leadership for architecture,
interior design, construction, accounting, purchasing,
contract administration, and the MGM MIRAGE Corporate
Services Center. Mancini is a member of the MGM MIRAGE
Diversity Council. The MGM MIRAGE Design Group is a
corporate services company chartered to design, develop,
build, procure, and manage the accounting for the MGM
MIRAGE Resorts properties.
Previously, Mancini was senior vice president of
global retail development for Walt Disney Imagineering
and
Walt Disney Parks and Resorts. He managed concept
development, design, store planning, the in-house
creative production
studio and millwork production facility of branded
content, construction, and purchasing as well as
the visual merchandising operation of over 500
retail locations
including 11 theme parks, the Disney cruise line,
and over 40 resorts worldwide. Under his leadership,
Disney
earned more than 35 retail design awards.
Mancini received the Markopoulos Award in 1998 for
his achievements and contributions to the retail
industry and has been recognized as one of 30 of
the most influential
leaders in the visual merchandise and store design
industry.
He serves on the board of the Planning and Visual
Education Partnership (PAVE, a 501(c)(3) educational
foundation
administered by A.R.E.) and is a member of the A.R.E. Visual Committee as well as DDI magazine's
editorial advisory board. In 2007, Mancini was
appointed co-chair of the American Gaming Association
Task
Force on Diversity Construction Subcommittee
and a member
of the Urban Land Institute of Las Vegas Executive
Committee. |
