Al Rodgers has more than 28 years of retail experience in operations, visual display, and store planning and design. In 1986, he accepted a position with K&K Toys as district manager overseeing stores in the company’s “back yard.” Little did he know that later that year, K&K Toys would embark on a new venture, opening five Dollar Tree stores. Rodgers took on the district manager responsibilities for two of those first five stores. Since then, he has held positions as director of visual presentation, director of store planning, and his current position, vice president of store design and construction. He currently oversees the store planning, store development, and store construction departments at Dollar Tree.
